The exact order to apply Skincare Products
So let’s talk about what you should use and in what order in your skin care routine!
The order in which you apply your products is important, whether you prefer a quick 3-step routine or have time for a comprehensive 10-step regimen.
Why? If your treatments don’t get a chance to penetrate your skin, it’s pointless to have a skin care routine. An easy rule of thumb to follow is to apply your products with the thinnest consistency to thickest and to end with any that are made to prevent moisture loss or need to sit on top of your skin like moisturisers and sunscreen.
In the morning your routine should always include sunscreen of course, and in the evening any extra moisturising ingredients, and ingredients like retinoids which exacerbate sun sensitivity.

PM ROUTINE

Of course, you don’t need an seven-step skincare programme (or even a six or five-step one). Most skin types benefit from using fewer products, so if you’re just starting out, stick to the basics: cleanser, moisturiser, and sunscreen. That is all there is to it. Really.
Then if you have any skin concerns you can add in products that help combat them. Dry skin? Add a moisturising serum. Discolouration: add a vitamin C serum to combat pigmentation. Breakouts? Add a retinoid or an acne toner to the mix. Beauty is personal, do what feels right for you.
